Day 12 already? Wow, time goes so fast these days. Seems like I have been more verbose this time around than the last few years. I was looking back through some of the posts last night, and I realized how long many of them have been this year. Well, if you are as tired of hearing from me as I am of coming up with coherent things to say, you will be happy to discover that today is a video post. First, I took this little video last night of Nico singing to himself while coloring. He can be pretty cute when he’s not making me insane. This is a song I have sung to him as a lullaby since he was a baby, and I love the off-key, slightly countrified rendition:
Since I was getting some video, I thought I would try to document Linc’s animal signs/sounds. He wasn’t really in the mood for showing off his signs, but he sure is cute! I also love how Nico is in the background repeating everything Sam says. Reminds me of Galaxy Quest, when Sigourney Weaver's character interprets the ship’s communications to the rest of the crew by basically repeating every command to and response from the ship verbatim. And when someone tells her that it’s annoying, she says, “Look! I have one job on this lousy ship, it's *stupid*, but I'm gonna do it! Okay?” Perhaps I’ll write that down as a potential career path for Nico. He’d be good at it, I think.

The animal sounds video is the one of the cutest things I've ever seen! And Nico could sign to me anytime. :)
