One of the Gang

Well, I will keep it short and sweet today. Linc had a great time playing with his cousins yesterday. We put together a ball pit for the party later this month, and all four of them had a great time rolling around in the balls in the back yard. The summer is finally releasing its strangle hold on us, so the evenings are becoming downright pleasant.

Barron has gotten over his urge to gouge out Lincoln's eye, and Nico and Lily were on particularly good behavior last night. They are a crazed duo when they are together. The new thrill for Nico and Lily is to share the two-man swing, and they will climb on together and then scream for someone to come push them. Obnoxious but sweet.

Anyway, Lincoln just gets right in there with the mad rush of the group. He can't always keep up, but that doesn't mean he doesn't belong. In his mind, as in ours, he is just one of the gang. He will scoot over and join the group, climb on the others, laugh at their mishaps. After all, he knows he that his rightful place is right in the center, not on the outside looking in.
